Here in my little enclave in the South, my neighbors (and myself) have an old saying – “mind your own business and you won’t be minding mine”.
But I do think there is a caveat.
If your neighbor is making meth in his basement, the fumes can affect the entire neighborhood.
Generally, I am not interested in what people are doing on their own time, in their own space.
It is a fundamental precept of the social contract.
But when what you do affects everyone around you, something has to be done for the benefit of all.
The liberal has frankly been completely out of control.
They rail on and endlessly on about their perceived injustice in the world.
So, let’s think just a minute about what they would have done in response to 9/11 and the twin towers.
What, would they travel over seas and place a flower on the lapel of those doing the dastardly deed.
I think this is precisely how they think.
On and on they will prattle about this arrogance, and what awful people were their conservative predecessors.
How they have destroyed the environment, and persecuted others.
Their rationalist arguments seem to go nowhere.
They are circular, and eventually they will consume the crumbs in the circuit and find themselves back at square one. Their point of origin.
And to what end ?
What is their grand justification.
From my perspective, when you see how many are now talking about escaping this planet to colonize others, you get the distinct impression they somehow think it will all be liberals in this enterprise.
In fact, it will be a microcosm of what we already have established here.
Cultures do not change.
Not radically, anyway.
Over time, of course; but in the moment…
Citizens of space will no more form a utopia than those colonies here on earth have done.
It is as if the liberal is running from themselves.
Trying to escape their own skin.
There is no escape.
It is not about the physical, but rather, the spiritual.
The escape, the refuge – it is in the heart.
When the heart is contentious, there is no escape.
There is only that prison erected within the own mind and its misbegotten perception.
It is not simply fear, but more, it is an anxiety of the self.
Like a pistol held to one’s own mind, it does not captivate, it holds captive. It holds hostage; enslaves.
Rather than an enticement, it is an element of force.
There is no logic in it.
There is only reaction to an overwhelming sense of doom.
When is the last time you heard a liberal say anything positive?
With the liberal, it is only criticism.
Criticism, and a complete denial of the facts.
Just as they can’t deal with this world, and seek to escape it, neither can they deal with the misery that they have wrought.
There is an inane desire, I am convinced, of the liberal to commit self-destruction.
Like the rock star who was on a stellar trajectory, their human nature and its desire for more, more, more eventually gets the best of them.
One toke over the line. One too many “lines”, and the inevitable overdose.
It is a self-destructive behavior endemic to those with grandiose schemes that are perhaps plausible in the long run, but not very likely in the short-term. In the short-term they will burn out like the wing of Icarus against the searing heat of the sun.
They want, they want, they want – and they want right now. To fly to those heights and die in a fit of glory.
Wow. Really spectacular. Really.
Like the hippie “when do we want it, right now”.
Well, you can’t always get what you want.
You may want your cake and eat it too, but that is not happening. On the table it is the future – take a bite, and it is the past.
This fantasy that they are intellectually and morally superior to the conservative is just that – fantasy.
Failed policy is what lies in their wake.
So, ask yourself – what is it that leads up to this epic failure?
It is not a thought. Not a word.
It is a belief.
There is a fallacy in equating a dream to a goal.
A dream, and really a goal as well, will always be there on the horizon.
How do you get to that distant shore? Achieve that goal?
You can let the currents take you there (I see this as a liberal thing); you can paddle – or, set sail, use an engine to propel it, launch yourself across the sea, or fly on jetliner’s wing.
The point is, it takes more than just the dream to get you there.
And so, with failed health care, failed policy in the middle-east, and failed race relations…what were the precursors to these fails?
Well, it is good to dream. But the dream has to be merely a motivator. It has to be matched by the work.
The paddling. The harness of wind against sail, or turbine propelling fuel’s explosive exhaust.
Somehow, something other than the dream has to be done.
And here is the rub. Perhaps thanks to technology many think all it takes is the dream.
The adage “if you can dream it, you can achieve it”.
What it leaves out is the work.
So let’s roll up our sleeves, America.
We have a bright future ahead of us, and to achieve it, we are going to have to pull together and make that future happen.
The one’s who failed.
They will be stuck, perpetually, in their dreams. In their fantasies. And they will be woefully disappointed. There will be no achieving of their grand schemes. Only more schemes to address failed schemes.
Let’s start thinking about the one’s who succeed. Who have proven success with their philosophy. It is a conservative philosophy.
It is this ship that will reach that distant shore we may only perceive at the moment in our dreams.
But like past success, the future success will be achieved just as in the past.
So let the critics rail.
The proof, my friends, is in the pudding.
Let’s take a bite out of it (the gruel the liberal has fed us is no longer getting it).
