Well, a political hangover, at least.

As a matter of functional providence and in the interest of matrimonial bliss, it has come to pass of late that I collect a great deal of my televised news from the more “progressive” networks (MSNBC, CNN)…and as such, I believe, it forces me to see the world tainted by their spectacles.

But enough bleeting from an old goat.

CNN reported something interesting last night that caught my ear.  I barely heard a portion of it, and my wife repeated it for me later (did you hear that?) – that “most” of the very wealthy in South Carolina voted for Romney.

It immediately paints him as “old guard”; the Republican party that caters to the fat cats.

And why would the Commie News Network pull such a stunt?

They want him elected…pure, and simple.

They think that Republicans are dumb enough to fall for that one.

“He’s one of us, ergo, we should vote for him.”

Problem is, we don’t fit into that asinine and gargantuan pigeon hole the commies at CNN would like to wedge us into.

We are much bigger than that (eh, eh).

To the point, we are NOT the party of the fat-cat rich (much as everyone would like to paint us with that broad brush).

And what is worse, IF it were the case that Romney were pandering to the fiscally elite, the old guard would recognize that his efforts do not fit into their desire to make more money.

A free market capitalist would much more fit that mold.

Now the travesty here is, none of this is in any way, shape or form fair to Romney.

But he is being used as a pawn.

The trouble is, so are we all.

But we are defining what it means to be conservative (and not just fiscally).

We are demonstrating what leadership by a Conservative really looks like.

And for the first time (I think in a long time), we are defining for ourselves (and the world) EXACTLY what it means to lead from the right.

For years I’ve heard the metaphor of politics as pendulum; that it swings left and right and always somehow balances out, just like a scale.

My own model is a bit different.

What I see is a pendulum, but the pivot point is fixed on a gear, and that gear lays in the track of what we “shade tree mechanics” would recognize as a “rack and pinion”.

With each swing of the pendulum, the gear will move in the rack a couple of gear teeth in one direction or the other.

For far too long, it has been tremendously out of whack.

There has been too much of a gravitational force on the left that has been pulling this pendulum further and further down the track, left.

The reason it has happened is that the American public has become enchanted by this concept that the government is there to take care of us.

In actuality, we are on this earth first to take care of self.

One person, feeding one mouth.

Now, when that person is fed, that person (like a car with a full tank of gas) can then work, and though work, produce.

We’ve gotten so good at it, we can feed more than just ourselves.

We can feed our family as well.

Trouble is, some people in the larger community fancy themselves as some sort of “kissing cousin”, and that they too should be in on that setup.

And they’ve convinced practically everyone that we are just one, big, happy (albeit, dysfunctional) family.

Well here is the dealio.

All those big, fat, slovenly slobs who have been portending to be our “cousins” are acting as some sort of gravitational force on the order of the planet Jupiter and they are not only gobbling up all our food, but they are attracting that political pendulum rig so far to the left that the train’s done jumped the tracks in California and is now ploughing out into the Pacific.

Is Romney really that far left?

Well, compared to Goldwater, Churchill, Thatcher, Reagan and others, I’d say “hell yes”.

But here is the thing…the pendulum has moved so far to the left that the concepts those folk stood for as so far on the horizon right that they seem faint and distant stars.

The pendulum still swings, but the rig has moved so far to the left that it swings only in the left.

Conservative principles have all but been abandoned.

So is it fair to call Romney liberal?  Only as much as it is to call all of the slate liberal.

Consider this.

It is the debate that is beginning to force the sleeping populus to come to (thank God it is not another WW II).

People are now asking themselves, what does it mean to be conservative.

And what, indeed.

Anyone listening to the debates should come to a new understanding that we are practicing a sort of preventative set of policy-making here.

We see the collapse that is happening to Europe.

We are watching it unfold.

It is market forces that have driven their decline.

We have the opportunity, in our grasp, to change that course for America.

We can do it, and we can do it without a radical change.

Something else we bear witness to is just what radical changes implemented by a brigand bunch of radicals can do.

Team Obama, Biden, Clinton are a living testimony to that.

But look what can happen when in spirited debate the Right demonstrates what it looks like to lead in a principled and ethical manner.

I think that perhaps in all my own history hear on earth (from the time I first became politically sentient), this is the most principled set of debates I’ve witnessed.

I do not think that it is just Newt who makes it so.

For me, after last night’s debate, I see Newt somewhere between Santorum and Romney…but I have this extreme sense that they all (and perhaps the whole of the Nation) recognizes that through whatever methodology, one of these candidates is going to move that pendulum rig back to the right.

It is my attitude that, for once, we should act like a liberal and apply that grease that will make it so…liberally.

Can Romney do it?

If he takes a clue from what is happening and rather than run toward the soft center at this juncture in that ballgame, to (from football) “open the field, and run to the right”, he just may.

With it looking very much like most of the Nation is solid conservative, how can any of the candidates go wrong running to the right?

What’s more, look at just how the nation would benefit.

We would get off this train ride to hell following Europe down a path of utter destruction.

We would get the train back on its tracks, and the pendulum swinging correctly, balanced and centered so that it is more satisfactory to both the left and the right.

Of course, there is an alternative.

I think everyone can “feel it in their bones” that Obama’s reign of tyrrany, oppression and rabble rousing is not going to be conducive to pulling this portion of Western civilization out of this ditch.

Intellectual, spirited and reasonable debate, of the kind witnessed in South Carolina could very well spell a much brighter future for this nation, and perhaps even the world.

Following conventional wisdom and “the way we’ve always done it” just won’t work this time.

Romney has a big choice here now.

He can pander to those in the middle and on the left, or, he can watch Gingrich and Santorum soar.

Go RICK !

“W” (Conservative) was running against Senator John Kerry (Liberal).

We were at WAR.

A case was being presented by a happy band of lawyering-up, lawyers, intent on proving why the rule of law would prove victor against all ills, and why peaceful negotiation and “lawyering” is always the best route to take.

In that interim, we had four more years of “W”, (and, incidentally, four more years of war); we has had (or almost had, or almost “were” had in) four years of B.O.

Let me paint a profile (as if, you did not already know them).

What they represent are people who will do anything to get their way.

They paint themselves as being all about helping out their poor, beleaguered fellow man – and all the while, they are helping themselves.

Doubt me?

Take a good gander at the recent headlines.

A smattering of unionized workers have made a power play for money, and left the rest of us holding the bag.

A mere 500, 000 union workers have been exempted from Obamacare.

That’s right.

While the companies we work for can cut our benefits and leave us with no alternative but to buy Obamacare (oh, and this is not, by the way, creating artificial markets that will benefit, you guessed it, Obamanites), these schmucks in the Unions will not have to concern themselves with such trivialities.

Let us eat cake.

Now, the next thing that will happen is, the Unions will say “join, or die”.

They will give you their pity-party stories about how you are taking food from their babies mouths if you pick up a hammer and perform “their” jobs (something I’ve noticed they rarely do), but they think nothing at all about not simply taking food from our babies mouths, but they will (in essence) use our babies as food (to sustain/enhance life through stem cells harvested in abortions).

Is there any low to which this bunch is NOT willing to stoop for their precious wages.

For far too long, they have perceived themselves as a privileged class that is untouchable.

This time, I think their egos have outrun their legs.

My daughter and I were talking about this yesterday.

How is it that such a small brigade (500, 000 union workers) can be catered to over the rest of us (if you have not checked, this is the population of the United States of America).

Imagine that.

Zero point Zero One Six percent of the population gets preferential treatment over the rest of us.

Literally!

Let me quote that number again, that’s 0.016%.

How is that 500, 000 in this trite brigade really thinks that they somehow deserve better treatment than the other 313 million people in this great nation of ours?

Oh, and here’s another point to ponder.

Do they really think that “viper” teams recruiting Teamster Truckers on the interstates of Tennessee (coming to a theater near you soon) are going to beat back the tide of 313 million.

There are 500, 000 of them.

Yes, they are in big trucks, and yes they carry clubs, but common people.

Get a clue.

And here is what is worse.

They are just a bunch of under-educated grease monkeys whose hearts still “lie” in the old country.

We really should not blame them for their ignorance, nor for their lack of concern for the rest of us, or their greed (when you have little or no intellect, you fall back on simpleton, human nature).

Even the smartest of us can and will go feral.

We should blame the system that created them.

We should blame Obama and his merry band of idiots (Bill and Hillary Clinton, Bill Ayers and Ram Emmanuael).

Guess Obama and the rest figured we dumb-assed Hill-billies would just let their Viper teams go completely un-noticed.

Add to this the war strategy for the post-Obama, Muslim-Extremist world, and, voila, you have complete annihilation of Wester Civilization, and more-specifically, America.

Not very long ago, the military, CIA and others were all making a case for why we needed the ability to have a dual militia – one capable of fighting wars on two fronts simultaneously.

We spent fortunes (vast) building such a militia.

Now, in one stroke of the pen, Obama in his intrepid genius, does away with what we built.

Now we will rely on drones to protect us.

Oh, and Viper teams running loose trying to find their own asses on the interstate system and molly-coddlying a bunch of feather-bedding, “all-about-money” union thugs trying to “put down the man”.

Hmmm.

Yeah, don’t pay attention to what that lil’ ol’ left hand is doing.

If anything, what you picture here, IS Western Civilization.

I say that because we are a land-locked bunch.  We are surrounded by mountains, and live in a somewhat insular world.

We were ignored during the civil war, and we ignored it.

With the exception of skirmishes when either Union or Confederate troops tried and steal our gunpowder, food or women, we had very little trouble during that war.

I’ve heard tale of an old codger who lived up in the mountains as recent as the Vietnam era, and whose sons were never registered for social security, had no identity as far as the federal government was concerned, and kept his sons on the farm and away from “that” war.

The point being, we mind our own business until other people’s trying to mind it for us gets to be “bothersome”.

Then, we get real, real intent on getting involved in theirs.

Thus one of the reasons Obama and his merry band of idiots have decided to focus their efforts on we hillbillies.

Well, if any one of you true-blue American actually believe in freedom, you will join us.

Only here is the kicker.

We are not terrorists.

We are civilized Americans.

And we remember that this war on terror was NOT a fabrication.

We were attacked.

El Presidenté, L’ énfant terriblé doesn’t get his way (along with one faction of his party – Madamé Speaker, has-been) and they raise immortal hell, tearing down all semblance of the law and acting completely on their own accord without regard to the law.

It simply supports my theory that they are a bunch of lawless hippies.

Or worse.

They have crossed over from our bubble-gum, cool aide concepts of the marmelade hippie and are proving themselves to be total anarchists, al a William Ayers.

So, what do we do when we have a bunch of lawless thugs who have usurped not only our legal system, but in effect, our very way of life?

So you are gonna disrupt our convention, huh?

Well, do you remember just how well that worked for you when you disrupted the DNC in Chicago in ’68 ?

So they say it set the tone for a new generation, a loss of “innocence” and a trend toward violent “pacifism”.

Yeah, right.

It was a bunch of spoiled hippies, not unlike the spoiled, lethargic and egoistic bunch who are “occupying” our cities and towns today.

A million times over, The Precipice has stated that these are nothing more than spoiled babies intent on “equalizing” everything to the point where there are no differences between us at all.

The French have it right – “Vive La Differnce!”.

My college Business Law professor told us that there is one time in the course of our lives when we are perfectly entitled to “knock someone’s block off” – that time?  When they inhibit our “inalienable” (God-given) right to “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness”.

With the stance of the redistributionist, communist hippies in the streets, they are legitimately inhibiting others rights to the “pursuit of happiness” by limiting the opportunity for wealth.

They are the anti-wealth, anti-prosperity party.

By their so-called “equalization”, they are in effect dragging us all down to live in the sewers right along with them.

This is no place for civilization, and further, no form of indignant, righteous civility.

The world they (these hippie-swine) paint for us is a world of mutual degradation.

It can be witnessed in the musings of one of their “leaders”, Bill Maher.

These are a hate-filled bunch intent on ripping at the very flesh of our civilization, and our civility.

They are angry, and they are full of discontent, and it is all driven by the usual suspects iterated in Biblical accounts of what constitutes sin.

Yet in their eyes, they try and re-write all that is holy.

They break down society, and in favor of what? To live like they live, in squalor and madness?

Now they plan to disrupt the GOP caucus in Iowa.

Should we really take the same tact as the Dems in Chicago.

I think not.

What we should do is exactly the opposite of what they would wish us to do.

Do not ignore them, but do not engage them either.

Like some pitiful little brother who is just screaming for attention, don’t give it to them.

They have narcissistic tendencies that demand to be fed by attention.

Starve them!

We can not ignore them, although.

They will not be ignored.

And just like that impish little brother, sometimes they need a good, course kick in the rear to give them that attitude adjustment they so richly deserve.

Let’s give it to them in the form of an avalanche of a victory for conservative thought and ideas.

Let’s have our own demonstration, and let’s make it one that will be painfully obvious to them of their defeat, and of their defeatist mentality.

You see, I have a theory.

I think they are all self-destructive.

He hates everyone so much, that he even hates himself.

We Christians are not full of such self-loathing.

We know we have short-comings, and we know we are not perfect and we KNOW one died on a cross for our imperfection.

But we also know that we have a responsibility.

In researching this article, I read about the brutality of war.  I read about the atrocities committed against the Germans by the Russians at the end of WWII.  It was true brutality, but in fairness, I also read how our boys practiced some of the same.

The one difference is, it would seem from the stats, that we were less inclined to practice hostility and atrocity against our enemy (or former enemy), which in my mind attests to our upbringing and our belief in something higher.

Yes, men (and women) can revert to their animalistic state (just look at this current batch of hippies in the occupy movement as prime example), but we can also rise above, and I believe, there is a better chance of that as Americans than any where else in the world.

Our is not the way of the savage, and we should take every opportunity to prove this in the coming months.

Let them have their protests, and yes, even let them try and pick our candidate through their “dirty pool”; these chickens will come home to roost, and what comes around, goes around.

I believe that they will, in the end, pay in a demoralizing defeat…and if not, they will pay through our own protests.

Already they are bolstering their defenses.

There are attacks on blogs  such as this one.

But, that is really just the start of their attacks.

There are news stories about how the left-wing of the government is using the TSA to move from their perverted, frisking ways in the airports, to “scuttle” us on the highways.

Now the hippies can protest unobstructed, but watch what the so-called “viper” teams will do should the tea party decide to protest again.

They will brand them as “right-wing extremists”, as they have already done so often in the media.

Consider Bill Maher again and his hatred of everything Christian.

These people are nothing more than SS troops, turned loose on our society.

So how do we face such evil?

Hand them a demoralizing defeat in the executive branch, and in the legislative branch.

Teach them, once and for all, that their brand of politics does not fly in today’s world.

We are about saving this Nation.

We are about making it strong once again.

Part of that will mean that at every turn of the screw, we must defeat these malcontents.

Let them go to Canada and seek asylum and smoke their dope and listen to their druggie music.

We don’t need dregs in America.

We need people willing to work to build a great society.

Not a society that lives in the sewer and tries desperately to drag us all into it with them.

Counter them at every opportunity.

Today, there is news out of Finland of 69 patriot missiles that were intercepted on board a cargo ship bound for Shanghai (China) in a crate marked as “fireworks” (yeah: it’s creating some).

Now, in this moment we have this headline – “NUKE SCIENTIST EXCHANGE PLANNED“.

Can there be any doubt what is happening here?

The Obamanites score again.

Chalk one up to Ghandi and the pacifist movement.

Let us now destroy Western Civilization and rebuild the world in the tradition of the silk road.

Were the headlines during the Clinton administration not enough?

They gave away – lock, stock and barrel, a cadre of military secrets (Loral and Hughes), and they acted cavalier…pious, really, concerning the whole of the affair.

And now, it would seem, we have round two.

Well, sorry President Obama.

I’m not willing to throw away my civilization because you think you have a better idea.

In the words of the first President Bush “not gonna happen”.

We must band together as a people; as a civilization.

We must be reminded that we are not alone in this world.

Our history as “westerners” is vast, and it is rich, and it is NOT isolated to “high planes drifting”.

We are tied at the hip to Greece, to Rome, to Germany, to Brittany and to Norway and to France.

All of Europa is our ancestor, and even back to Meopotamia.

“Our” people consist of Jew and Gentile, of Nordseman, South American, and of planes Indian.

We are one Nation, the West.

And, despite what you may read, we are a Christian Nation.

While there are those “Johnny come Lately’s” who will claim some new concept of some “new” world order – there is an older order that has not ceased to exist, nor has it paled in any way, in any shape, or in any form.

It is the order of Western Civ, and it still burns in the heart and soul of every free man who considers himself the progeny of this rich, and ancient history.

We are not simply a world forged by the framers of one Nation’s constitution, but rather, a world united by the strength of the shoulder of a community of giants.

That history, I believe, will not fail us.

We will not simply endure.

We will prevail.

But we will most assuredly not do so, Mr. President, by giving away the baby with the bath.

May God speed, bless and protect our next President of the United States of America; and, God help me, may he please be a man devoted to the West.
